David Bird

Financial Advisor

David Bird has almost twenty years of experience in financial services, launching his career in 2006 following a twenty-year career in the United States Navy.  For the past decade, he has owned the independent brokerage firm  Price Financial Group, Inc. located in Waldorf, Maryland, where he managed approximately $200 million in assets.  David has held Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses as well as those for life and health insurance.

David acquired PFG from its founding owner, Robert Price Jr., and continued Price’s legacy of specializing in personalized advice and planning.  “When launching a career in the financial services industry, the very first tenet drilled into the minds of new Advisors is to KNOW YOUR CLIENT.  I have always taken that rule to heart and firmly believe that the best way to tailor advice is by knowing as much about the person on the other side of the table as possible; not just financially, but personally as well,” David says.

Leaning into retirement now, it became paramount for David to ensure the continued care and success of his clientele.  “In preparation for this next phase of my life, I spent months agonizing over entrusting my clients, whom I consider family, to another Advisor and firm.  It cost me a lot of sleepless nights,” he said.  He went on to explain, “Once I connected with Jordan Funke, it was as if a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders.  I knew he and his firm were the right choice and the right fit.”

David has been married for more than 38 years to the former Peggy Keenan (of Grinnell, Iowa) and together they have three children and eight grandchildren.  His future plans include spending more time with family, pursuing his hobby as a photographer, and traveling extensively.
